January Remote Learning from Home

During this time when you are keeping your children safe at home, please use the Year Group links below to access online learning. We also know that some of you will be using the paper packs of work that we have set for the children to use. 

**NEW paper packs will be available from the office fortnightly:

Please use the year group email addresses to send pictures of any work completed for the teachers to be able to feed back to you.

If you do not have access to email pictures, work or queries in, then we will accept paper packs being returned when you come to collect further work as directed at a future date.

Parents - if you feel it is more appropriate to develop or challenge your child's learning or if they have additional needs please look through the online learning we have set for other year groups too. The link below will take you to the SEND section of the Oak Academy website for any children who have additional needs.



We all know that keeping physically active is very important. We know that Joe Wicks is doing his part to keep us fit and healthy, but you could also try some of the ideas here at the 'This is PE' site - we'd love to hear from you about which challenges you have completed!


Helping at home

Please use the list below to further support your child's learning at home - these sites can be used at any time, but particularly during any self-isolation.

Maths - 

For all year groups - this link will take you to the planning and lessons we follow in school for maths.  Great to keep children engaged and involved in maths! 



Reading and Writing - 

Letters and Sounds for home and school - the DfE YouTube channel offering daily phonics sessions aimed at Reception and Year 1 children. In school we follow SoundsWrite, but this is still a very useful set of videos for supporting at home.



A lovely site with beautiful pictures to look at and questions to spark the imagination. 



This site has e-books, phonics, spelling, maths and timestables. The activites are for suitable for 3-11 year olds.

Phonics comics - a lovely site offering online decodable comics to read



Phonicsplay - the site is offering free access to it's resources while schools are closed.

BBC Schools Radio  - Learning resources for primary schools offering video, audio and downloads for Early Years, KS1 & KS2 covering a range of subjects.



Sites which support learning English and extending vocabulary

These sites offer a selection of games that children can use to practice learning English in a fun way. Mainly aimed at children who are learning English but also useful for young children extending their language.
