Greenvale School Council

School council

Our School Council consists of 8 councillors, two elected from every class in Year 1 and Year 2. Each of these children was elected by their classmates to represent them in the council meetings. We hold these meetings twice a term. We report back to the class on the weeks in-between and discuss anything that they want taking to the council. Each class has a suggestion book which the councillors bring to the meetings.

The council deal with many different issues ranging from what games should be allowed on the playground to rewards and school dinners.

New for 2018-19!

This year, we are very excited to be responsible for 6 non-uniform days this year. We took a vote on what the themes could be for each of the 6 days.

We are responsible for collecting in the £1 donations from our friends for the non-uniform days. The money will be spent on areas of the school which we feel need to be improved.

Our first dress-up day was for halloween. We raised £120 which we spent on playground toys. We spoke with our classmates and voted on the toys we felt we needed the most.
