Physical Education at Greenvale

Physical Education at Greenvale Primary School is statutory.

Children undertake PE on a weekly basis.

As we welcome children back to school we have made some changes so that we can keep everyone as safe as possible.

 One way we can do this is by allowing children to come to school dressed in their PE kit on the days that they have PE.

We have taken this decision so that we can;

*increase the amount of PE teaching time available

*reduce the amount of belongings coming in and out of school

*reduce the need for unnecessary teacher contact

*reduce lost property

They will wear their PE kit all day and should wear their school sweatshirt or cardigan over the top to keep them warm. PE sessions may take place outside.

As they will be in their kit all day, we are asking that the children wear:

*a PE t-shirt

*tracksuit or jogging bottoms or leggings (black or navy only is preferable)

*shorts may be worn, weather depending.

Please remember the following important health and safety requirements for children when undertaking PE:

  • Earrings and other jewellery to be removed before school on their allocated PE day.
  • Long hair needs to be tied up.

If you have any questions please do not hesistate to speak with your child's class teacher or the school PE co-ordinator, Mrs L Powlesland
