Social Networking Guidelines
At Greenvale, we understand that social networking is being used increasingly to stay in touch with friends, share experiences and photographs. As a school, we are also increasingly aware of the fact that sometimes these sites are being used in ways that are not in the best interests of the children or the whole school community.
In the event that any person(s) is/are found to be posting offensive or slanderous comments about the school on any social media platform, they will be reported to the appropriate ‘report abuse’ section of the network site.
Any concerns you may have must be made through the appropriate channels, by speaking to the Class Teacher or the Headteacher, so they can be dealt with fairly, appropriately and effectively for all concerned.
We offer guidance for Parents/Carers who wish to use photography and/or video at school events. Parents/Carers can use photographs and videos taken at school events for their own personal use ONLY. Such photographs and videos cannot be sold and must not be put onto the web/internet. Any sharing or use other than for your own private use would require the consent of ALL the other Parents/Carers whose childnre are included in the images.
Please ask for a full copy of these guidelines at the school office.
