Newsletter Term 5 - 24th April 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to the Summer Term

I hope you all enjoyed a restful and happy Easter break. It is a pleasure to welcome everyone back to school for the start of what promises to be a busy and exciting Summer term.  This includes us welcoming back Mrs Tzanakakis to Badger class this term following her medical procedure and recovery.

A big thank you to all the children and families who took part in the Easter Challenge homework. Your patterns will be displayed in the school hall as promised, and will be joined by a very special colorful project towards the end of term...

Later on in the term we have my favourite event of the year - hooray, hooray, it's Elmer Day!  A special occasion that reminds us of the importance of kindness, individuality, and celebrating what makes each of us unique. It is always a joyful day in school, celebrating the wonderful books by David McKee, sharing stories and wearing our brightest clothes. More information to follow.

We are delighted to be taking part in the Mini London Marathon event next week (Friday 1st May). This is a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to challenge themselves, stay active, and be part of a wider celebration of sport. We are very much looking forward to seeing their enthusiasm and determination on the day (and staff too!)

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. Please  remember that your children's curriculum maps for their new topics and learning for the Summer term can be found on the school website under the 'Curriculum and Learning' tab.

We look forward to a successful and enjoyable term ahead.

Yours sincerely,
Mrs Powlesland

Acting Headteacher
