Newsletter - Term 2 - 20th December 2023

Dear Parents/Carers,

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for your understanding regarding the closure last Thursday.  Hedgehog class will be out of action for a while due to major work that needs to be completed in the New Year.  Therefore, when the children return, it will be to the classroom they are currently using.  The children have been amazing and not at all phased by the change.

This term, Ofsted visited the school, and again thank you for your kind words and support.  Once the report is published, a copy will be sent to you all.

Years 2 and 3 went to Amhurst Court this week and sang Christmas carols to the residences.  The children sang beautifully and made them all so happy!  We are very proud of their thoughtfulness and behaviour during their visit.

Year 1 and Reception gave the most delightful performance to their parents this week, and I am sure you will agree with me when I say how perfect they were!

Finally, as we go into Christmas, I want to thank you all for your continued support.

The staff and I wish you all a 'Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year'.

Thank you

Mrs Allnutt

Headteacher

Christmas Concerts

A great big thank you and well done to all of our children performing and singing this term. Nursery had a Christmas concert for parents in class, Reception and Year 1 used the stage in the hall for singing and dancing, Year 2 and Year 3 sang songs and carols down at Amherst Court Care home.

We are very proud of all our young singers and performers.

Role Play Costume Donations

Does anyone have any old/outgrown role-play costumes that would be suitable for 4-5 years?

We are looking for donations for our Reception class.

We would appreciate any donations, perhaps if you are clearing out old items to be replaced over Christmas.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Absences from School

Polite reminder that if your child is not able to attend school for any reason, it is the parents' responsibility to contact the school by 9am with the reason for absence.

The school should not have to contact parents.

Thank you for your co-operation.
