Dear Parents and Carers,
It is that time of year when we look back and reflect on just how far your children have come, celebrating their development, their growth, and all that we have achieved together. From exciting learning experiences in the classroom to sporting events, educational visits, performances, and special celebrations, our pupils have demonstrated enthusiasm, resilience, and a real determination to succeed. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.
I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of myself and Mrs Allnutt, to thank our pupils, staff, governors, and families for their continued support of our school and community. Our sincere gratitude goes to our staff team, whose hard work, professionalism, and care ensure that every child is supported to achieve their best. Thank you also to parents and carers for your partnership throughout the year. Your encouragement and support play a vital role in your children's success.
After a long and successful time at Greenvale Primary School, Mrs Allnutt will be leaving the school at the end of this academic year. Mrs Allnutt will be leaving Greenvale Primary School after 14 years. She leaves the school following a successful Ofsted inspection in which the school was rated good. Mrs Allnutt has also been instrumental in the school successfully growing to a full primary school.
We know that we are passing on the Greenvale baton into very capable hands, to a team who approach every day with skill, compassion, and care. The ethos, nurture, and support that we have all worked so hard to develop and embed will continue well into the future for generations to come. It is felt and upheld by every single member of the team and is what makes Greenvale so special. Mrs Davies as your interim Head Teacher, and Mrs Haigh as your Deputy Head are ready to go 'Green', and are very excited to be joining the team.
A special mention and thanks must go to Mrs Martin and Mrs Mould as they prepare for new adventures beyond Greenvale. We all wish them every success and happiness in the future.
From me personally, I could not be prouder to have been a teacher and a leader at this school, and it has been my absolute honour, pride, and privilege to be part of the Greenvale family for the past 30 years. Greenvale has been far more than a place of work; it has been a place filled with laughter, friendship, dedication, and countless precious memories. Watching generations of children grow, learn, and flourish has been one of the greatest joys of my life. While it is not easy to say goodbye to a place that holds such a special place in my heart, I leave knowing that Greenvale's future is bright and that its values, spirit, and sense of community will continue to thrive. I am excited for my adventures ahead, including editing books, tutoring, and spending more time with my family, but I will always carry Greenvale with me. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your children's journeys and part of this wonderful community. I cannot wait to hear about the many achievements and successes that will no doubt continue for years to come.
Wishing you all a well-deserved rest. Use the break to spend quality time together and create many happy memories. The team look forward to welcoming pupils back refreshed and ready for another exciting year of learning in September.
On behalf of everyone at Greenvale, I wish you a safe, enjoyable, and sunny summer break.
Mrs Powlesland
