Welcome back, and welcome to our new children who have started this week. All the children have settled in really well.
The children have been really excited this week as we have our new dinner providers start. The children have been thoroughly enjoying the new meals to try.
This term will be busy as always, so please keep checking the school website for upcoming events.
Please make sure your child is bringing a coat to school, as the weather changes so quickly at the moment.

Upcoming Teacher Strike Days
There are 2 Teacher Strike days coming up.
They are:
Thursday 27th April & Tuesday 2nd May.
At this time the strike days will only impact on Badger Class, who have been advised separately that their class will be closed on both of these days.
All other classes will be open. Should this change we will advise you ASAP.
Mathseeds
Due to limited school funding we are no longer using the Mathseeds app, but we will continue to use Reading Eggs.
Please encourage your children to use this at home.
We have a vacancy that has become available for a new Parent Governor.
If you are interested and would like more information on the role, please call into the school office. We will then arrange for the Headteacher or Deputy Head Teacher to discuss what the role entails.
Closing date for this is the 5th May 2023.

Coffee Morning - 25th April
We will be holding a coffee morning here with the team from the Fortis Trust Outreach Service.
They will be here to offer any advice for behavioural issues you might have with your child.
The Fortis Trust Outreach Service provides high-quality support and advice to enable students with SEND to succeed in the mainstream setting within Nurseries, Primary and Secondary schools.
The coffee morning will start at 9am. Please pop in if you think team can help you.
Upcoming Bank Holidays
We have 2 bank holidays coming up when the school will be closed.
Monday 1st May (May Day Bank Holiday) closed. Back on Tuesday 2nd May.
Monday 8th May (King's Coronation ) closed. Back on Tuesday 9th May
School Dinners
Before the Easter Break, we advised that this week we had a new School Dinner Provider starting with us.
The Contract Dining Company (CDC), have arrived with a bang!!
The quality of the food has been superb, the portion sizes are huge, and the children have been thoroughly enjoying their dinners.
All children in years Reception to Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal, and we strongly recommend that you take up this offer.

Term 5
Throughout term 5 the children will be involved in an art project based on the upcoming coronation of King Charles III.
Also, on the 5th May we will be having a special 'Coronation Packed Lunch' for all the children in years R-2.

We will be celebrating Elmer Day as always!
The details for this year is for everybody to dress in bright colours. If you have an Elmer story book, feel free to bring it into school to share with your class at carpet time. Please ensure that your child's name is in the book...
