Term 2. 3rd December

Newsletter issue number 5 - Term 2. 3rd December 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a tremendous week in school, getting our seasonal celebrations off to a flying start!

Our Winter Wonderland craft day was a great success - I am sure you have heard from the children that we did indeed get a visit from The Snowman - we were able to make the school feel cold enough, and he brought us our tree. We have put our peg decorations on - to find out more, please see the photograph album later on in this newsletter.

A huge thank you to those of you able to come along and support our Christmas Fair yesterday - we hope it got you in the Christmas spirit as much as us!

We must say a huge thank you to our PTA for all of their hard work and preparations to make it such a success.

Please check the calendar and events below for what is still to come in the rest of the term.

Mrs Allnutt

Head teacher

Covid-19 Update

As you are all aware Covid-19 cases are increasing, and we all need to be vigilant especially with the lead up to Christmas.

The main symptoms to be aware of are:

  • Temperature
  • A new, continuous cough
  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

If you have any one of these symptoms you must isolate immediately and arrange to have a PCR test. Please DO NOT send your child into school if they do have any of the above or they have a positive Lateral Flow test.

If you take a Lateral Flow Test, and it shows as a positive, you must arrange to have a PCR test as confirmation and isolate until you have received the PCR result. The result of the test will need to be emailed to school as proof of the test outcome. The NHS will advise you of the date that your isolation period will end.

To find your local PCR test centre, please refer to WWW.GOV.UK

At this time, the Government guidelines do not state that the whole house needs to isolate, only the individual that has tested positive or is displaying any one of the above symptoms.

If you are unsure of your symptoms please call the NHS Covid telephone no 119.

Thank you for your cooperation.
